Career “Ask Me Anything” Café (Dr. Rodgoun Attarian)

The Department of Microbiology and Immunology in collaboration with CBR (Centre for Blood Research), invites you to our last virtual Career “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) Café of 2021 on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021 from 12-1 pm PT over Zoom. The aim of this series is to provide a casual networking environment where attendees can learn about diverse science career paths, gain insight about the job market around the world, and directly ask questions to the professionals.

Our mentor is (M&I Alumni) Dr. Rodgoun Attarian, PhD, MSc; Field Medical Advisor, Medical Affairs; Pfizer Canada:

Rodgoun currently works as a regional Field Medical Advisor for Western Canada (Provinces of BC, AB, SK & MB) at Pfizer Hospital Unit. She serves as a field based medical/scientific expert to internal and external stakeholders and she is responsible for execution of medical affairs strategies and pharmaceutical development. Prior to pursing a career in industry, she obtained her Master’s degree at UBC experimental Medicine and she completed her PhD studies at UBC Microbiology & Immunology Department. During her academic studies, she successfully received the prestigious CIHR (Canadian Institute of Health Research) doctoral award and the result of her graduate research was published in several peer-reviewed scientific journals.
