Virtual Event
Thursday, July 30, 2020 - 10:00am to 11:00am

The Department of Microbiology and Immunology in collaboration with CBR, invites our members to a new professional development series: Career “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) Café! The aim of this series is to provide a casual and intimate networking environment where attendees can learn about diverse science career paths, gain insight about the job market around the world, and directly ask questions to the professionals.

The first virtual café will take place on Thursday, July 30 from 10-11 am, and our first mentor is Dr. Naadiya Carrim, Research Engagement Manager, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Naadiya Carrim is currently a Research Engagement Manager in King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. In KAUST, Naadiya works in the Office of the Vice President, and is embedded within the research, implementing strategic initiatives, and engaging the academic faculty where necessary to support their impact-driven research. Naadiya is also the host of KAUST Sci-Café. Prior to her role in KAUST, she attained her PhD in cardiovascular biology from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and then pursued her academic career in cardiovascular immunology in University of Toronto, Canada, where she successfully attained a fellowship from the Canadian Blood Services.
