Dr. Sachi Okamoto has recently accepted a position at the European Molecular Biology Lab in Heidelberg in Germany where she will be working with Dr. Orsolya Barabas. Her Postdoctoral project is "identification of transposon-host interactions in human cells" to understand the transposition event of Sleeping Beauty (SB) transposon and it's regulatory mechanisms in cellular context.

Dr. Linda Rehaume's research in Dr. Bob Hancock's lab studied the role of C-X-C chemokines in mammalian innate immunity. She has accepted a postdoc position at the University of Queensland Diamantina Institute with Professor Ranjeny Thomas. She will be dissecting the cellular mechanisms underlying arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease pathologies in autoimmune spondyloarthropathy. ubc_2011_spring_rehaume_linda.pdf

Dr. Matthias Fischer recently completed his PhD in Dr. Curtis Suttle's lab studing Cafeteria roenbergensis virus and its virophage Mavirus.
