Costanza successfully defended her PhD in Sept 2012 and began work with Prof. Antonio Lanzavecchia at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine in Bellinzona Switzerland. She is using human B cells and human plasma cells libraries to study neutralizing antibodies against different viruses in response to both natural infections and vaccines and characterization of autoantibodies in different human autoimmune diseases.
