Dr Jason Grigg, a recent PhD graduate from Dr. Michael Murphy’s lab studied iron-complex reception and transport in Staphylococcus aureus. Dr. Martin Richer completed his Ph.D. thesis in the laboratory of Dr. Marc Horwitz studying the role of antigen presenting cells in coxsackievirus-mediated autoimmune diseases. He has been awarded a CIHR fellowship to pursue his postodoctoral research. Martin will be joining the laboratory of Dr. John Harty at the University of Iowa where he will be studying the effects of repeated infections on the survival and function of memory T cells. ubc_2010_spring_richer_martin.pdf

Dr. Stephanie Condotta completed her doctoral studies in the laboratory of Dr. Francois Jean studying the molecular and cellular characteristics of the West Nile virus protease. She has accepted a post-doctoral position at the University of Iowa in the Department of Pathology with Dr. Vladimir Badovinac. Dr. Kristen Kindrachuk a recent graduate of Dr. Robert Hancock’s lab studying antibiotic resistance in Pseudomonas aeruginosa has accepted a Post Doc position with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the NIH. Dr. Kindrachuk will be investigating lung pathology in animal models of lung disease, with a focus on the impact of altered mucus secretion on induction of known mediators of pulmonary fibrosis in asthma.  ubc_2010_fall_kindrachuk_kristen.pdf

Dr. Lisa Osborne completed her doctoral thesis in Dr. Ninan Abraham's lab working on IL-7Ra signalling in lymphocyte development.
