Johnson Lab - Research

We are interested in determining the mechanisms that regulate the outcome of an immune response. In particular, we are interested in the modulation of dendritic cell and T cell signaling by the tyrosine phosphatase CD45 and the influence of CD44 and CD45 on T cell activation.

We are also interested in leukocyte migration and regulation of inflammatory responses. To this end, we study the role of CD44 in leukocyte migration to inflammatory sites and its function on macrophages at inflammatory sites. We are also interested in the signaling role of CD44 in cell adhesion and migration.
